Solar is the new craze in renewable energy. It's cleaner, safer and less expensive in the long run. Many people are changing from fuel based electricity to solar energy. Here five Solar Power Panels you can use at home.

Solar energy is the most powerful form of energy as it comes from the heat and light from the sun. From the begining of time man has been using sun energy for cooking and other tasks. we still use the sun to dry clothes, dehydrate food and to produce vitamin D in our skin.

The sun is one of the most important resources known to man, for without it photosynthesis cannot happen and plants cannot bear fruit. Without the sun the soil would be void of essential minerals and nutrients.

To harness the power of the sun for daily use is probably the wisest and healthiest choice that we can make. Using solar energy will reduce exhausts from fuel that is burned for electricity. Solar panels come with batteries and since we can always count on the sun to shine, it is likely that we will always have the energy we need to perform our daily functions.

Solar power panels can be used for appliances such as refrigerators, televisions, electric cookers/stoves, microwaves, toaster. blenders, water heaters, air conditioners and any other household appliances you may have.

Choose the appropriate wattage for your household needs by determining the amount of power you need to run your appliances and the amount of wattage the solar power panel will supply.

I knew this day would one day come and here it is! Use to be only certain people could afford solar energy or you had to have land, etc but now, wow, and what a savings! Someone is not going to like this, we better grab them while they are hot! Great hub Cardisa, I hope you got your 100 the other day, you have certainly earned it.

Cardisa 4 months ago

Hi Polly, no I didn't get the 100. This is the fourth time it went to 99 and teased me!

Thanks for the compliment. It's a part of the weekly topics inspiration. I am thinking of going solar too because electricity is still very expensive. This is cleaner and more environmentally friendly.

Have a great weekend, at least the rest of it!

Brilliant layout! Those bright yellow sun graphics are cute as heck. Awesome information for Solar Panel Kit shoppers. I really appreciate that you remind us about the impact exhaust from standard energy sources bring. Great hub.

What an attractive hub and graphics! This is extremely easy to scan and very reader-friendly; voted up.

Flora, the good thing with solar equipment is that even a little glow during winter extracts energy. That is why they can last throughout the winter.

Cardisa 4 months ago

Thank you Donna. I am glad you liked it!

Thanks to your idea go check out my hub now the latest one about energy saving. I made it greater to look at :) The little orange strip enlightened me and that's what made me think about doing something similar :)

First, my friend, when I commented on your poetry last night I had already signed out. Now about solar power, which is, I think, the salvation for our planet, even up here in the cold north. Whether the sun is behind clouds or not, the rays are still coming thru, but I don't think they've figured that part out yet.

As for myself, I have a sun room on the south side with slanted windows. My plan is to build a small greenhouse beyond that and have black water pipes inside the sunroom, plus a backup water heater, so that I can store heat. I feel I could capture enough there to heat both the sunroom and greenhouse, and no longer have to worry about my plants, and expand on edibles in winter. Meanwhile I'll keep this hub where I can find it.

Hi James, I figured you were signed out when you commented.

I am picturing that sun room turned green house now. You wouldn't have to worry about veges in the winter you would have then fresh.

Thanks for reading and commenting as usual and I am glad you found this hub useful. Thank you my friend!

Thank you for this information. I have forwarded the information on to my sister who is having problems with her furnace. This could be a real good replacement idea for her. :) voted up and useful.

These are all impressively affordable! I wonder if there might be some way in which I can arrange to have these power some of my electricity use in my apartment. That would be so cool, and I don't want to wait to own a home, first @_@

Cardisa 4 months ago

Thank you Cherylone. I really appreciate it. I hope your sister find this useful.

Cardisa 4 months ago

Hi Simone. When I did my research I looked for the most reasonable priced units. There are a couple in there can be used in your apartment, especially the portable one.

FloraBreenRobison 4 months ago

I was injecting a little winter weather humour there. But yes, there is some sun in winter too.

Cardisa 4 months ago

LOL, I seriously thought you were hoping to get a solar panel!

iamageniuster 4 months ago

Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely trying to get some solar panel. Waiting for it to become cheaper first though.

Cardisa 4 months ago

Iamageniuster, thanks for reading. I am sure that in another few years when solar has become more popular, the prices will drop. These are some of the most reasonably priced ones on the market now.
