I think I'm doing not too bad. The only things that I have never eaten on your list of 10 would be raw tofu (have never had it raw or cooked) and snapper.

Susan, you aren't doing too bad. I don't like canned sardines or any canned fish so I have mine fresh. I love tofu but my fiance hates it so we stick with the seafood.

Cardisa - as luck would have it, we went out to dinner last night for my husband's birthday and the first thing they put on the table was edamame. That was followed by a shrimp salad appetizer. The entree was salmon. There was a pumpkin white chocolate something for dessert but I chose the chocolate souffle. Needless to say, I felt like you were at dinner with us!

Cardisa--I love and hate some of this stuff! Love salmon, scallops, and shrimp. Can't stand sardines and tofu. Walnuts are okay. I bought some flax but need to remember to use it! Is it okay if I supplement with my fish oil pills? :-) Great hub. Nice reminder. I know it's better to get Omegas naturally through food.

Cardisa profile image

Cardisa Hub Author 6 months ago

Hi Victoria.

Yes you can supplement if that is easier for you. I just prefer eating my nutrients because I will be taking some unknown ingredient in the supplements.

Awesome list Cardisa! I always skip over the flax seed, as always very informative article. I must ask what is an ovo-vegetarian? Got me scratching my head on that one? Also the lacto-ovo these are new terms for me. Thank you!

Adrienne thanks for reading.

An Ovo-vegerarian is one whose only animal food is eggs. They do not eat any other animal products or by-products. No cheese, butter, yogurt etc.

I'm destined to be dumb........outside of an occasional walnut and few fried shrimp.......I suppose it is time for me to up my game and start eating right...I fail at this miserably.

I appreciate this kind of hub, and it keeps chipping away at me to start in.
